Course Overview

Week 1:

• Brushing up on Subnetting skills

• Did a quick packet tracer lab to warm up

• Did a quick review on IP Headers in Wireshark

Week 2:

• More in depth subnetting

• Lab 2.1: Subnet Design | Took a network setup with no configuration and used the Subnet Table to setup the network.

• Reading on DHCP

Week 3:

• How does DHCP work

• DHCP in VLANS

• Lab 3.1: DHCP Security | Find 3 potential security issues with DHCP

• Lab 3.2: Lab Prep | This lab was to prepare the Packet Tracer file for Lab 3.3 from what we did in Lab 2.1: Subnet Design

• Lab 3.3: DHCP Server in Packet Tracer | This lab built on how to get DHCP to work over different VLANs and how to setup DHCP pools

Week 4:

• Design network for campus/enterprise

• Small bit of DNS

• Lab 4.1: Console Access Mini-Lab | We got to use real CISCO hardware and tinker with the CLI.
• Lab 4.2: Small Enterprise-Class Lab | built onto DHCP and VLAN configuration from earlier labs and added an element of DNS.
